Advanced training, advanced solutions

Our team at Dayton Colon & Rectal Center understands the individual and personal needs of each patient. That’s why we focus on resolving every patient’s unique problem instead of concentrating on a particular diagnosis, treatment or procedure. We listen carefully and intently as we investigate our patients’ individual conditions.

DCRC physicians strive to look for the best treatment and care for each patient’s individual colon or rectal health problem. Since one-of-a-kind problems call for one-of-a-kind solutions, DCRC aims to keenly focus on giving relief to the patient rather than the procedure to be undertaken.

The board-certified physicians at DCRC are fellowship-trained to specialize in the surgical and nonsurgical treatment of various colon and rectal health problems, which include internal and external hemorrhoids, fistulas, diverticulosis/diverticulitis, colon polyps, abscesses, colitis ulcerative, anal fissures and colorectal cancers.

Our physician team also specializes in medical and surgical treatment, management and other procedures relating to anorectal conditions, inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn’s disease, intestinal and anorectal physiology, colonoscopy screening of the rectum and colon, ostomy and colonic neoplasms.

DCRC specialists also tackle problems like colon cancer. To detect its presence, DCRC physicians conduct screening and surveillance. A colonoscopy procedure is just one of the outpatient procedures recommended by DCRC physicians for patients aged 50 and above.

We also provide compassionate and personalized treatment for IBS and IBD as well as solutions for incontinence and relief for constipation. It’s problems like these for which DCRC physicians are the most skilled and effective.

Get relief from the pain and bloating. Come to Dayton Colon & Rectal Center and experience effective solutions for your colon and rectal health problems. We welcome patients from the area of Miami Valley, in the greater Dayton area and in the greater Springfield area, including: Dayton, Huber Heights, Centerville, Englewood and Kettering in Montgomery County, OH; Springfield in Clark County, OH; and Beavercreek and Xenia in Green County, OH.

Deepak Kumar, MD, FACS, FASCRS - Dayton, OH - Springfield, OH - Beavercreek, OH “I got into this field because few others would nearly 40 years ago, yet patients still needed care and treatment for lower GI disease. They needed endoscopy and colonoscopy, and they needed relief from their pain from anal disease. Today I most enjoy seeing patients we have cured of cancer and have treated or managed for 40 years. I am naturally a ‘people person’ and I enjoy the relationships I have built with patients and their families.”

Augusto Martinez, MD, FACS

Augusto Martinez, MD, FACS - Dayton, OH - Springfield, OH - Beavercreek, OH “Since medical school, diseases of the lower GI tract have always caught my attention. My father was a physician and had always encouraged me to pursue my interests. Years ago, few physicians considered this specialty. I got into the field because I wanted to help people with these problems where few others would. I hope to give people relief from common and more serious conditions so they can get on with their lives. I take time to help them understand their disease or condition and remove their fears and apprehensions. I always listen to patients because they know their bodies best. One learns a lot by allowing patients to speak their minds.”
