The Dayton Colon & Rectal Center is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Paul S. Hackett to our dedicated team of specialists. Dr. Hackett comes to the practice following a brilliant academic career that included an M.D. from the UCLA School of Medicine, five years of general surgical residency in Texas and Georgia, and a prestigious fellowship in colon and rectal surgery with the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Hackett is certified by the American Board of Surgery and received an achievement award from the Society for Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. In addition to his recent fellowship at Baylor, Dr. Hackett completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the National Cancer Institute and has presented before the American College of Surgeons and the South Eastern Surgical Congress. Dr. Hackett is also proud to have been selected for membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha national honor medical society.

As a newcomer to the area, Dr. Hackett is proud to call the Miami Valley home and eager to share his considerable medical expertise, surgical skill, and passion for personalized care with the patients of Dayton Colon and Rectal Center.

“My enthusiasm for the science and skill involved in medicine is exceeded only by my genuine desire to know and care for my patients as individuals. I eagerly embrace the challenge of treating a difficult condition, whether medically or surgically, but what truly inspires me is being able to help a patient enjoy or return to good health.”

“This specialty allows me to apply my training and skills effectively while making a real difference in the lives of patients and their families. I couldn’t ask for a better opportunity professionally or personally. I’m thrilled to be joining such an outstanding group of professionals and to call such a wonderful, welcoming community my home.”
